Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009

"A bill to increase public safety by permitting the Attorney General to deny the transfer of firearms or the issuance of firearms and explosives licenses to known or suspected dangerous terrorists."

However, If you are TRAINED to use firearms and explosives effectively by the government, it is okay to own said items. However, if you chose to end your service to the government, you are banned from owning said items.

What I am trying to say is this. I am a former United States Soldier. I was trained by the government to carry out violence on their behalf. Since I have been out of the Army, the Obama Administration has passed a bill stating all Iraq and Afghanistan veterans are trained in ways to disable a government. Out of fear of the soldiers they sent to war, they now have OFFICIALLY LABELED veterans as terrorists. Now, introducing S1317, means the same veterans are not allowed to purchase guns or ammunition or explosives when they end their VOLUNTARY commitment to the government. Yet, drunk Billy Joe Bob from middle Alabama can buy whatever he finds fit to start a militia, as long as they do not call it a militia and have not ever served in the military.

So, it seems that I will not be allowed to buy a Gun soon, since I am a terrorist. Thank you America. Thank you Obama. Thank you Government, becuase honestly, it is the ENTIRE SYSTEM. Whether one or two pieces of the system actually works, too bad. It is time to replace the whole damn thing.

The government fears its OWN soldiers so much that they label them terrorists and deny them a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT that they FOUGHT FOR AND BLEED FOR AND DIED FOR....

I guess I will have to rely on you readers to buy guns for me, since most of you aren't veterans. HAHAHAHAHAH...

Smoking is a Priveledge, not a Right.

Now, I do not agree with children smoking. I am an occasional smoker. I enjoy menthol cigarettes once in a while. Not a big deal. Hell, I even have enjoyed other kinds of tobaccos. Apparently, Senate Bill 336, is to ban all flavor tobacco. Whether it is banana flavor, grape, cherry, hydro, orange, or any other flavor, it is to be BANNED by October.

Flavor tobacco is targeting children, according to the government. I can SEE this argument, but I do not AGREE with it. This seems to be an overly strong reaction. Are they trying to tell me, that there is NO way to sell flavored tobacco product to adults? Are there not "Smoke" shops anywhere else in America? They check I.D. cards while coming in the door sometimes. Why is this not a valid option? If adults really do not wish to have these products, they will not sell well, and HENCE, will not be reordered.

Why does the GOVERNMENT have to step in and BAN things, to protect us from ourselves. If I want to go home, wrap up something in a FLAVORED blunt wrap, I DESERVE TO. I am a veteran, and they are telling me I CANNOT HAVE FLAVORED TOBACCO OR FLAVORED SMOKING PRODUCTS? This ban involves smokeless tobacco as well, so If you chew, get ready to enjoy Regular and Menthol flavor tobacco, and that's it. Nothing more. No cloves, no cigarettes that are other than regular and menthol. Soon they will ban menthol, saying that the Menthol drops used to flavor the tobacco is causing the Earth a Rare form of Cancer. I mean, really? So if you are a "Free American", age 18-110, you are not allowed to enjoy tobacco in any flavor but regular or menthol. You DO NOT DESERVE anything but those two flavors. You are LUCKY the government even allows you to have menthol, no? Then again, Obama wouldnt want to be ousted by those that elected him.

Point is, instead of control, researching new ways, or teaching people restraint, they are JUST TAKING IT AWAY. The government is openly reaching into peoples lives, and removing legal habits, from good legal people. You DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE ANYMORE... Unless it is from a selection of Government Brand Cigarettes. The only available smokes will be "Obamas and Obamas Light".... HAHAHAHAHHA

Protect the children! That is important. Why not follow House Bill 654 instead? HB 654 makes it so ALL tobacco products are in a tobacco store or behind the counter at a gas station, further from little eyes.

Senate Bill 336 proposes to prohibit these flavored tobacco products all together.
"We don't think there's any reason to have banana flavored, cherry flavored products out there for kids to get started on. So we're going to prohibit those candy and fruit flavoring," House Representative Dave McAlpin said.

Thanks DAVE! Because you are a representative of some state, you figure you know what is best for me. You know I do not, nor could not, ever enjoy flavored tobacco, and are planning to remove it, as one more freedom lost.

AMERICA IS SUPPOSED TO BE PROUD, FOR HAVING A GOVERNMENT WHERE IT'S PEOPLE EXPERIENCED THE EPITOME OF FREEDOM, YET MORE AND MORE LIMITATIONS AND RULES AND LAWS THAT AFFECT DAY TO DAY LIVING THREATEN OUR FREEDOM. At the rate we are going, I wont even doubt that soon we will all be forced to take a "Anti N1H1" pill once a month. I am also sure that the same pill will have properties that make us as a whole, more accepting, and more docile, SHEEPLE. Maybe not so extreme, but then again, I never thought I would have the GOV. Tell me I could not enjoy sour apple SKOAL.

And not to sound racist...or be racist... but has ANYONE but myself noticed that EVERY flavor EXCEPT MENTHOL, which over 80% of African Americans, smoke. I wonder if Menthol was not a big African American Flavor, would it be banned as well? That and Obama smokes Newports.

Or used to, at least.

Last point to be made. It's a Recession. Why take away things that people STILL justify spending their money on? Are we not supposed to encourage spending in the local economy? What about all the Smoke Shop Owenrs, Tobacco Shop Owners, and Gas Station Owners? If you have to get rid of EVERYTHING but Menthol and Regular, that is over 80% of their Products that they sell.

Write your State Senator. Try to plead your case... But I fear it is too little, far too late.

Americans Love Violence. Is it possible that someday in the near future, we will Pay Per View Televise Executions?

This man, Mike Graczyk, has added another claim to fame to his name. He is normally a writer for the Associated Press, known for a number of great articles on a plethora of topics. Living in Texas gave Mike a rare, "unique" opportunity. Mike Graczyk has managed to witness 315 executions carried out by the Federal Government. That totals up to over 40 hours of men and women he has seen die. He has been to more executions in Texas than any single Texas Guard, Chaplain, or Employee even has.
I guess what bothers me is that, here, in America, this is somehow news worthty material. Has our love for violence gone so far as to make people that watch restrained people get killed look somehow cool? I guess it's funny that he is looked up to for seeing that many people die. It's kind of like, "Oh wow mom! I want to be like Mike Graczyk! He's my hero!"

Okay far stretch...

America Loves More

Has anyone taken the time to ask themselves when more is enough? Are we so greedy and technology hungry that we cannot enjoy what we have? Do we need to continue to expose our young impressionable youth to "better" movies to help generate the almighty dollar? More blood, more sex, more killing, more explosions, more drugs, more "hardcore..." Yes. Yes. And, Yes.
This is what I am sick of. What is wrong with us, as a society, as a whole? Everything we have in America is "Improving", from bigger drinks to better resolution in your home television set. I hope you are glad you invested in the newest HD technology... They have something better in the works. Whether it's a higher resolution, or a new form of sound technology. Either way, your T.V. is obsolete within a month. Same with computers. Buy the newest chip set, newest graphics cards, and you are still out of date in a month, finding software you simply cannot run properly. What about cellphones? How many people do you know that buy a new phone simply because it has a new feature?
"It can play music louder than my old phone did." or "The touchscreen allows it to navigate better than my old phone." I personally like the iPhone, and find the applications and technology to be perfect for my life. I do not own one, but I wish I did. I have an iPod touch, and love it, so I have something to go off of besides the rave reviews from millions of owners.
Instead, I have a nice, BASIC, cell phone, that will last me until I break it. It calls, takes pictures, sends texts, and that makes me happy.
What about t.v.? Cartoons now are better than ever. Even daytime, children are definitely watching right now, type cartoons are MORE violent, MORE sexual, and MORE graphic than the "risque" shows of my time. (The Cartoon, Cartoon. Series on Cartoon Network late 90's to early 2000's.) Or, you could watch the WORST cartoons when I was a kid if you were lucky. Sure, Beavis and Butthead was only on late at night, on one channel, after midnight so most kids would be in bed. If your child was watching it, it was your fault as a parent. Now, shows like Beavis and Butthead are TAME compared to even basic normal cartoons. Parents can hardly tell if a cartoon is good or bad, because what was BAD when I was growing up is normal now, and on daytime programming. Hell, the girls in cartoons aimed at teenagers and young teens are sexxxy! They have tight bodies, big breasts, skimpy clothing. I mean, honestly. Girls in Beavis and Butthead wear more clothes than these girls from the hit show 6teen on Cartoon network during after school programming. Even the women they sexually objectify in older, mature, "controversial" cartoons were far less revealed. But hell, more skin shown, means more attention from the boys, which equals popularity, which is far more important than any subject they are teaching in school currently. More Sex. More avant garde' behavior. More Violence. More Alcohol use... Drug use... You name it. As long as they can make money off of it, it will be made. Again, maybe I just am old, and I feel these NEW SOCIAL NORMS, are a bad start for our kids. I had less messed up stuff to watch on television, let alone the Internet growing up. Still, I am extremely fucked up in the head. I wonder how these kids are in the head? The news is showing all the violence increasing. It may be a sign, or a warning...
Movies are more violent. Movies that should be Rated R, are PG13, so the 18 and under crowd base can still spend their money on the movies. More Special effects... to the point that movies are produced so fast... you cannot enjoy them. Crappy movie after crappy movie is pumped out week after week, saturating the market with movies that do not require much acting. After all, computers can make any special effect now. To me, this is bad. Movies only rely on special effects to sell the movie. Movies made with CGI effects, to me, are not real movies. Star wars, for example. That movie was made with models and claymation, yet still rendered a story worth following. Furthermore, the talent needed to create movies of high caliber, was far and few, and took years to make a good movie perfect. Perfect before it was released.
Now, we hear about a movie 2 months before it is released. Every commercial break during prime time you will see the advertisement for the summer blockbuster movie of the century. Then the video games, and the toys, merchandise and all the products come out before the movie. Fast food places make everything about the movie. Then, about 2 weeks after the movie is out, and sells to average standards, the next Movie is in line, and the process repeats. And with all these movies, coming out so fast, everyone is outdoing each other. More realistic gore. More blood. More violence. More sex. More nudity. More swearing. More realistic everything.
But we let our children buy into this culture and jump product to product, see movie after movie, with little value to them. What's wrong with more? When I was 16, I was told by a therapist that the average child has seen 1,000,000 murders on television and movies alone by the age of 16. This was back in the 90's! Now, factor in the amount of new movies, the lowered standards in the Rating System, and toss in video games for good measure. How many murders has the average child in 2009 seen by 16? I can play video games where I graphically and realistically kill 150 or more opponents in 1 level, let alone the 30 more to go. It makes for good thinking. I bet by 8, thanks to the MORE is BETTER policy, children have seen over a million murders. Talk about desensitizing them young, no?
I have so much more to rant about, but I fear I have written too much as is. Heh, I bet I lost most of ya by now. Point is... We as a nation, want more. Whether its more french fries, or more violence, we want it, are willing to spend our money on it, and if it ruins are children, are ok with it, as long as we look cool to everyone else around us while doing it.

(I have not seen a movie in theater for over 3 years now. I cannot justify spending gas money, and $15.00 for 2 tickets....or more even... to see a movie with little plot and all special effects. Same for video games. I will try it before I buy it. The last good game I bought was... 2007...)

THINK BEFORE YOU SUPPORT THE CORPORATE MONSTER. If you really enjoy more, and feel it is better, then by all means destroy yourself. It is a free country... Buy a new phone every few months, new cd's and games every week, new clothing to keep up to date. Buy all the new movies, in every new format, every few months. Buy into every single NEW break through. Please go ahead if this is your true feelings and more is better to you. Spend to your hearts content... After all, the economy needs your money, and I cannot buy into the bullshit.

Please, entertain me. Please let me buy into the gimmicks of commercialism. Please let me worry about who in Hollywood has a fake ass and who's is real. Please pander to me over television about "reality" and make "reality shows" for me to zone out to. Please tell me what shoes make me a man, and what deodorant makes me smell like a "Fresh Spring Mountain Breeze with a Mere Hint of Pine from the Horizon." I need to smell like that. Please show me how to become the Car I drive. Who will I learn life lesson from, America? My family? Please... I need you all to show me whats fun, instead of all the serious issue...
-Poverty, Homelessness, Mental Health, Chronic Pain without proper medical care, Joblessness, Suicide Rates Increasing, the Economy collapsing, War, Government Lies, Loss of innocence in youth...I can go on an on...
But please, American Government, Distract me with unimportant things. Allow these companies to brainwash our children, we don't need smart people, do we? Please, add advertising to my daily school curriculum, for I need to know what is in and popular, before I learn my history. (History teaches us where we failed, and how not to make the same mistakes twice.) Please, consider all the entertainment needs I have... Please cut funding for my education... but make sure to give failing auto companies billions...make sure the Media has me up to date, and please, oh please, make sure I become a SHEEPLE...

I honestly, 100% can say I do not really care about Hollywood (Hollyweird, in my opinion)or any one in it. But I do feel bad about Micheal Jackson. Not my favorite artist, not even close. However, even though his personal life had gone to hell... this man managed to become the world's BIGGEST pop icon, and that is a feat if you ask me. I remember growing up in the 80's, everyone LOVED Micheal Jackson. On the radio, in tape decks, later on CD's. Sure, his latest CD's may not have been good music per se' , but I feel that was not the same Micheal Jackson the early years had brought us. Clearly he was tormented by inner demons and the media monster. Sure he was weird. But find me a bigger pop star in the 80's to middle 90's, and I'll write about them. LOL... When I was in Iraq, Iraqi soldiers or Iraqi Policemen trying to make a connection to Americans would always bring up Micheal Jackson. He was common ground. Sure, I am not going to go blaring his music in my truck, that's just not my style. I do respect him though for his music ability, and his ability to influence the world with nothing but music and words.

So... living in Alabama for the past few years, I have seen some things I normally do not see where I am from. For instance... if you look up the word "Estates" at google , you will find many images of places like this...

This and many other houses are what I expected to see. Now tell me what you think of the Estates I found, a few blocks from my house.

State of Insecurity

The Super Secret Camera Spy Center

Okay, so the so the title is actually misleading. I call it "Insecurity", while many others call it "Security." I specifically want your input on this one, AdamS, since I believe that many places in Great Britain have implemented similar systems to their cities.
In Lancaster, PA, the city is "secured" by 165 Live Feed Cameras strategically placed around the city. This city of 55,000 citizens, has more cameras than most major cities, including Boston and San Fransisco!

Now I understand the rationality behind the cameras. It is a social psychology principal. If people see that they are being actively observed, or think they are being monitored, they are less likely to commit a crime.

The cameras are monitored by a watchdog group of civilians. They he have no written guidelines to follow, and official training program on. what is "Good or Bad behavior." It is essentially up to the civilian operator watching the screens to monitor the activity and call police. (Civilian being a member of the city, and not an employee of any kind.) This creates an advanced neighborhood crime watch. The cameras were installed by a private company, and are not city or state ran. (PA/MD CCTV Corporation)

Interesting...

However, there has been great successes in the use of these cameras in Lanaster, as well as England. Success in preventing, or having substantial evidence to a serious crime.

Examples: As for British Security Cameras, I have seen many many many videos of violent, serious fights in the streets that have been used to put the perpetrators away.

As for Lancaster, PA: After a street security camera in Lancaster, Pa., captured the slaying of Solomon Hall’s cousin Tyquan Hall in 2007, the gunman was convicted.

Now what I find interesting is that according to the L.A. Times, very few of the residents initially found the cameras to be a problem. Now, more and more people find these cameras to be becoming an issue.

Now, play in the principal of social psychology i mentioned. Crime should, in theory, decrease. However, since the installation of the 165 cameras, crime has increased. The operators are calling the police on simple "crimes", from loitering to jaywalking. This to me seems to be OVERKILL of some vigilante moron that cannot find anything better to do but spy on others and try to control others.

I fear that this could, over time, create a "Perfect" society. Where any infraction, minor or major, could be caught on film and prosecuted via mail, if need be. I personally agree with cameras in certain areas. Intersections, for instance, can help clear up confusion about accidents. Outside of bars or specific troubled areas where violent crimes are repeated, are good as well. I fear it is just to hard to draw the line though as to where it is good to have cameras observing innocent Americans in PUBLIC. What one person considers to be a severe crime or a good location for a camera, may be considered a minor crime or not a good location to you or me.
On private property, it should be the owners discretion. (But signs should be posted to avoid "invasion of privacy.") On public property, maybe at government ran institution.
I overall, feel that this is a GROSS violation of PRIVACY, due to the fact that the cameras are at every park, stores, every mall, some restaurants, sidewalks and every major street. I do not want to be observed, even though I am not participating in illegal activities. Remember, soon, if we are not careful, Big Brother will be watching us ALL. Please leave your input, I am very interested to know what you think. Especially, considering some of you may have first hand experience.

Good old Mr. Alex Jones, at it again. I am not sure what the deal is with the music in the background, but overall he has some very good points.
America ranks a GLORIOUS 26th place when it comes to global education standards. "Third World" countries are surpassing us in technology as I type this. (India has more working robots in the field of Robotics than America does! WTF? Japan, of course, but India?)
The basic premise is this. The government inacted "No Child Left Behind." during the Bush Administration. They got exactly what they paid for...
Shotty education at best, cheap and low quality education programs, high priced universities teaching high school equivalent material. All of "these" being the education standard of today. The less we engage our children's minds, the less likely they will think outside the box. Free thinker's are dangerous. So, in effect, coupled with the INSANE amounts of "entertainment" and "pop culture trends" and such, create a passive, inactive, sheeple. Satisfied with our own demise, as long as we look good doing it, or it feels exciting long enough for us to forget the real problems.

As said before, the government invested all that money and got exactly what they were hoping... a land of T.V. fed sheeple, eagerly awaiting the next big meal of lies. In dumbing us down as a whole, the government is using education as a weapon against ourselves.

Time To Leave Iraq???

So many people in the past have said, "It's time to leave Iraq." or "What are we even still doing there?" I, can honestly say I feel both. Especially after reading this on CNN.com...

Al-Khazali's release was a gesture by the Iraqi government as part of the national reconciliation process with militant groups, al-Dabbagh told CNN.Al-Khazali was detained in March 2007 along with his brother, Qais, in connection with the killing two months earlier of five U.S. soldiers who were in the central city of Karbala.In that attack, nine to 12 gunmen in five SUVs, wearing "American-looking uniforms" and carrying "U.S.-type weapons," drove through checkpoints before opening fire on U.S. soldiers in the Karbala government compound, the U.S. military said.

Now this has happened before. Many times, are terrorists and criminals released from the Iraqi Penal system with little more than a slap on the wrist, only to be arrested or killed a few weeks later for going back to the old "habits". However, such a HIGH PROFILE terrorist is normally not released. This terrorist fuck is responsible, or partly responsible of the deaths of 5 U.S. Soldiers. And the Iraqi Government is letting this guy go free as a "Good will Gesture between militant groups and the Government." What that says to me is, Corruption is so prevelant now in the Iraqi government, that proven terrorists are being released. The government is trying to make peace with the terrorist militant groups. Soon enough, their influence will grow even more strong in the government.

So, 5 soldiers lost, no justice to be found. Even more amazing, the terrorist, Al-Khazali, is part of a intricate network of IED (Improvised Explosive Devices) and EFPIED's (Explosively Formed Projectile Improvised Explosive Device.) I guarantee you that this man will go make more bombs, perfect them, and kill more U.S. Soldiers, especially knowing the Iraqi government will protect him.

IF THIS IS A STATEMENT TO AMERICAN SOLDIERS FROM THE IRAQI GOVERNMENT THAT THEY WILL WORK WITH TERRORISTS, THEN IT IS TIME TO GO. NOTHING CAN BE GAINED. THEY ARE WORKING WITH THE TERRORISTS... BRING OUR BOYS HOME, AND LEAVE NOTHING BUT A GLASS PARKING LOT WHERE IRAQ WAS.

Combat Gear Restrictions?

Recently, the GAO (Government Accountability Office) has been doing several set up missions to expose vendors willing to sell equipment that may aid terrorists. Granted, nothing is ILLEGAL about these vendors selling the equipment to people and companies over seas. The GAO is trying to show that it should be much more difficult to sell to overseas buyers while that equipment can be used right back against us.
Example:
Great companies such as U.S. Calvary, Ranger Joe's, and EBay, to name a few, all offer amazing military products. In fact, before deployments, I always bought stuff from these companies. They offer far superior gear than the U.S. Army issued.
The issue is, the GAO set up fake companies over seas, to purchase military and civilian items commonly used to make everything from IED's (improvised explosive devices) to Nuclear Weapons components. During the sting operation, the GAO was able to purchase even STOLEN military equipment, delivered with no questions asked.

Equipment purchased ranged from:
-Weapons Magazines and Clips
-RACK systems, tactical vests, ammo pouches, all M.O.L.L.E gear available for ability to easily carrier several hundred rounds, explosives, tactical aides, and bullet proof plate slots.
-Helmets, Bullet Proof Vests, Chemical Warfare Operations gear.
-Night Vision Goggles, Night Vision Aides, Weapon Mounted Night Vision,.
-An F16 Fighting Eagle (Air Force Combat Jet) Computer Control System.
-Triggered Spark Gaps, Accelerometers, Gyro Chips (All can be used in multiple explosives, including Nuclear Weaponry.)

So essentially, we are selling the enemy combat equipment for cheap. Equipment at deep discounted prices. This equipment allows them to more effectively engage U.S. forces on the ground.

The Government is looking into changing law so all sales of these kind of equipment would be sold to the United States Residents only. The new law would also effectivly ban shipping these items to foreign countries as well. (APO and AE, and all OCONUS military addresses will still be allow shipping to these places.) That sounds reasonably fair to me. No need to assist the enemy. If someone loses out on some money, but soldiers survive, TOO FUCKING BAD.

What do you think? Some people think restricting sales of these items to foreigners is illegal and unconstitutional. I personally feel that the ones complaining are the ones profiting from the sales to begin with. After all, don't these foreign countries have suppliers of weaponry and equipment in their local areas? I figure there is a trade like these, virtually EVERYWHERE. Why arm the enemy with superior equipment than our own troops? We should make it much more difficult for them to get these items.

Same Sex What?

So...apparently there is a type of relationship called "bi-national same sex couples". I learn something new, everyday. Now I HAVE heard of bi-national relationships. A bi-national relationship is when a person of another nationality has a relationship with an American citizen, with intent to marry. The American "Sponsors" the foreigner, allowing them to stay in the United States for longer periods of time, potentially indefinitely until they gain dual citizenship or full citizenship.

The gay community is upset that the United States Government does not honor a Same Sex Sponsorship. A man cannot sponsor a man, a woman cannot sponsor a woman. This means that the American cannot have a gay lover that is foreign move in and expect to become a member of society. "For the federal government to recognize homosexual pairs in any way, shape, or form is a violation of the federal Defense of Marriage Act." CNN.com

First Question: The United States is a country that is openly opposed to same sex marriage. Always has been, and majority rule, still is. What would make you ASSUME that the LAWS of a foreign nation will bend to your sexual preference. The LAW does not state that same sex marriages are legal, so why would you expect it to be different for you? Because you aren't American? Too bad. Go back to your country and then your rules apply. Sorry.

Second Question: (Follows Statement) Rep. Barney Frank, D-Massachusetts, who is openly gay, is a co-sponsor of the House version of the bill allowing ILLEGAL bi-national same sex couples the same rights as LEGAL couples. Then they go on to say..."We're not asking for anything special..."
Not asking for anything special? First off.. aren't they asking for something special by requesting resources that are desperately needed to deal with our financial cluster fuck. Second off, aren't you asking for something special by... Asking a NATION at CRISIS to changes minor laws for FOREIGNERS?

I do understand that people want to be happy. And if you are happy with a same sex person from out of the country, you best find a way around it. It isn't legal. Until it is, deal with it. Sorry the country is so FUCKED that we don't have time for your frivolous issues.

Well, I am sick of seeing more and more of these videos. Not sick of the videos, per se', more being sick of the fact that this is even happening. According to where I got the video from, the site states the Ambulance was pulled over for speeding.
I thought ambulances were allowed to speed. I mean, cops can speed when they turn on their sirens, so what's the difference? They are all emergency services, last I checked. Lights and Siren ON=cars move out of the way because there is an emergency. That's how it is supposed to work.

I also find it interesting that the EMT that is the driver of the ambulance is WHITE. Notice his partner is BLACK (Name is White)? The black partner is attending to the patient in the back of the vehicle, and has NOTHING to do with driving. From where HE is sitting, he CANNOT even see the road. In fact, I White said he saw the Oklahoma State Troopers flashing their lights, and informed the driver before the driver even noticed. Either way, they attempt to arrest the BLACK EMT. At worst, he may have given the State Troopers some choice words from within the ambulance in the back for having stopped a vehicle on the way to the hospital.

EMT's are SWORN by oath and by consequences of LAW to do whatever it taked to protect a patient. I think telling a cop to fuck off and deal with it later is fair. The STATE TROOPERS had no RIGHT in pullinf over an ambulance.

So...I want you to ponder this. How far away from where the ambulance was forced to stop, was the hospital? Was it so far that the State Troopers could not have waited for the ambulance to Drop off the patient, then harass the EMT's after the REAL VICTIM, the patient, is safely turned over to the receiving hospital?

Apparently not. And apprently, if you are dying, it's ok for the ambulance to be pulled over for speeding. I bet if there was a bleeding Oklahoma State Trooper in back, those cops would be escorting the "Speeding Ambulance" instead of abusing their authority over others.

Here is the rear EMT's Statement of the Incident.

"As my partner was pulling onto the shoulder, the cruiser came alongside our unit and gestured for my driver to pull over," White says. "When the officer came to a complete stop behind the ambulance, I noticed a woman in the front seat. Based on the officer's erratic driving behavior, I thought that the woman in the front seat of the cruiser was in need of immediate medical attention; hence I exited the rear of the ambulance in order to assess the situation."

White says the officer was in a rage when he approached them and yelled "get your a-- back here! I am giving you a ticket for failure to yield." White says he told the trooper they had a patient in the ambulance and that they were on their way to the hospital.

"He ignored my statement, became even more belligerent, and demanded my partner come to his patrol car so he could write him a ticket," White says. "I calmly told the officer that we were transporting a patient and we could continue this at the hospital."

White says the trooper then approached him and shouted "you are under arrest for obstructing a police officer" and grabbed his arm to handcuff him. A brief struggle followed, at which point the trooper grabbed White by the throat. The cell phone captured this incident on video.

BULLSHIT. I especially like how the offending State Troopers did not even follow through and go to the hospital, becuase they were so embarrassed of the mess they made.

White says the trooper later told him they could continue on to the hospital, but that he would be under arrest once they got there. White was never arrested, but says troopers told him he should be prepared to turn himself in if a warrant was issued.

So 13 year old Daniel Hauser was returned to the court after his mom and him fled the state, already attempting to avoid chemo therapy. The family seems nice, so for a mom to take her kid and flee like that, I am assuming the child expresses the urge to not want to partake in chemo. Read more here...

So...ask the kid. "Do you want chemo therapy?" If Daniel says No, then no treatment is required. If he says yes, and his parents attempt to deny treatment, then step in. Thanks to AdamS for sending me this story. Apparently, explorer scouts, or the more "mature" Boy Scouts, has a combat training program available for youths 14 and up. Now this seems really cool. Hell, it looks fun, and I've done this stuff in real life.

The Boy Scouts of America allow Deputy Lowenthal to allow students with a "C" average and is 14 years old to join his explorer scouts police training program. With courses that SWAT teams use, to simulated terrorist hostage negotiations and takedowns, to full frontal assaults on enemy held buildings. I would have begged my parents to let me in this if it were around when I were a kid.

Now here are the problems I see, and I really appreaciate if ya'll can comment on this for me so I know I am not alone. (I feel like I MAY be overeacting)

1. A "C" average? Really? Students with a "C" average show that they cannot commit to daily activities, such as school. Also, a "C" average states to me, possible issue with Discipline. (Not meeting deadlines, keeping track of assignments, not doing everything possible for A, which is Perfect) I figure if you are training CHILDREN TO USE WEAPONS TO KILL TERRORISTS, which is not their job, then at BARE MINIMUM, take the ones able to show discipline and commitment. Weapons are very easy to find, and if trained properly, are far easier to deploy on a human being. Maybe "C" average...with the current failing education systems, is the equivelant to a "B" average when I went to school.
2. With this training, you need rules guidlines, and boundaries. SURE, the children are "monitored." Sure they are taught appropriate resoposes, including escalation of force. The thing is, CHILDREN ARE CHILDREN, and this is WHY the military DOES NOT TRAIN until 18. Sure, ROTC. However ROTC focuses on far less threatening things: Survival skills, map reading, physical fitness, rank structure, military protocol and sop's, and drill and ceremony. This "Boy Scouts/Explorer scouts" focuses on Military Operations in Uraban Enviorments, or mout. It focueses on enter and clearing rooms, hostage resue, prisoner detainment...well the works. These kids are proficiently trained on better weaponry than most of the Unites States Military.
3. Gangs. Violence. Vigilantism. What happens when a "C Average youth SWAT officer" quits? Or gets mad at the group, or gets recruited by a local gang, enticed by BIG money, drugs, and women? Something the POLICE do not offer? Or what happens when one of these "Trained" kids witnesses a robbery. Is he going to assume the REAL police officers job and try to stop the robbery becuase he feels he has sufficient training? Sure, teach kids all the restraint you want, it doesnt stop anger/fear, especially to young, still developing minds. Or, it is far easier for these perfect "C average" teenagers. Besides, if you are trained, and no one will know you did it, what stops you? Kids are kids, and they FUCK up almost everything. Thats why when we train people to use weapons and tactics, we make them have a commitment and use it for good first. Not take a boy scout oath and promise to be a good child.
4. Remind you of Hitler youth? Or of pictures of terrorist children, dressed in arab garb carrying AK47's? Or is it different, becuase these are "Boy Scouts of America sponspored Explorer scouts," wear American flags on their shoulders, and look and dress in are garb? Just becuase our ENEMIES train children, does not mean we should.
5. What's next? If you serve 2 years with Explorer scouts combat team, you can carry a gun to school and in your neighborhood to assist the police with violence and response time? Maybe that's a stretch, but things are getting fucked up.
6. There is NO commitment. You can learn advanced tactics, and leave. Never joining the police, military, or DOD. Now you have a trained person with nothing to do. Hrmmmmm.

Granted, the asshole criminal driving here is reckless and dangerous. He deserves to be thrown out of his van. Theoretically he deserves to get his ass beat even, but I feel the ejection from the minivan to twisted, unconsciousness, was a fitting punishment. However, now that I built a sympathy case for the criminal, think of it from the police officers perspective. If you start at the very beginning of the tape, you will see an officer deploying spike strips in front of the perpetrator. The criminal DOES intentionally swerve and hit the officer. From the looks of it, that officer got his ankle caught and probably will never walk normally again.
So, having seen a friend or partner get injured and nearly killed, I can understand their anger in their friends near death.

Obviously, during a protest, the woman in an almost all Pink get up is the biggest threat this cop has ever seen. There is positively NO way to defend this, either. That COP had no right to abuse his authority. He should go to jail for assault and be punished for abusing a woman in public. (The woman in jail is a part of a group called CODE PINK, a group that stands up for equal rights for women. I am sure she did NOT want to be beaten like a man would be beaten... almost funny lol)
Instead, the woman in pink regains consciousness and starts telling reporters that she was hit by a police officer for saying things he did not like and/or agree with. So much for free speech. When the officers see this, they realize that the fucktard officer that hit her was about to get in trouble, and in turn could get the whole department under the magnifying glass. They protected their own, arresting her before she could tell her story too much, charging her with a crime, I am sure. Luckily, it was caught on tape, probably saving this woman's ass from jail time for expressing her thoughts. I am again, reminded of the 1st amendment. I also am reminded that an OFFICER OF THE LAW INCAPACITATING WITH POTENTIALLY DEADLY FORCE AGAINST UNARMED CIVILIANS EXERCISING FREE SPEECH IS HIGHLY ILLEGAL.

I understand that there are many kinds of censorship. One kind is meant to protect us from ourselves. Example: Music. Have you noticed that more and more of songs are getting censored? My wife was listening to lastFM, well, watching a music video actually. It was the song Sing for the Moment, by Eminem. I understand censoring "swear words." They do not personally bother me, but ok, have a CLEAN version. BUT, this is ridiculous. This particular song had the words "Gun", "Pistol", "Handgun", "I trust my gun.", and "My gun is my only homie." edited out of the song. No, not edited, CUT OUT. The swear words in the song were originally edited, with record scratching sounds covering them. The words "Gun" and such, were CUT out, meaning silence during those parts. It was easier to detect what the swear words are in the song with the limited record scratch sound over them, but the word "Pistol" is removed 100%, making you wonder what the FUCK (HAHAH I swore) the artist is talking about... this is unnesscesary, and controlling what someone says by "cutting it out," "deleting it", or "Blacking it out." for our protection, ILLEGAL CENSORSHIP. I am 28 years old and have seen more than any of the censors making these rules...and if Eminem talks about liking his hand gun, or talks about owning one, or hell, shooting one even, it's his RIGHT AS AN AMERICAN! Watch your guns, friends... they may be gone soon, as well as myself...when they are prying mine from my cold, dead hand.

The United States is sending $100 million in aid to Pakistan to help alleviate the plight of the estimated 2 million people displaced by the offensive against Taliban extremists, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced Tuesday.

The money comes on top of $60 million in assistance already provided by the United States to Pakistan since last August.

The assistance is "essential to the global security and security of the United States," Clinton said in a White House briefing. Much of the aid will be directed toward the purchase of Pakistani grain as part of a larger "investment in the people and economy in Pakistan."

So…What about America? I am honestly curious as to why Pakistan is receiving so much money in this time of economic hardship. Hell, we tell homeless people that funding is drying up to help them. We close several inner city schools and make one conglomerate one in many major cities due to lack of funds to adequately run the appropriate amount of schools. (They should be opening far more, not closing so many.) They don’t properly treat veterans that went and shed blood on the politicians behalf. We let over a thousand homes a month get foreclosed, and watch millions stand empty handed in the ever long job search. Yet, somehow, someway, we find $100 million for Pakistanis?

Let me write it out so it looks like a more formidable number. $100,000,000.00 dollars. TRUE, it is for poor, displaced people of a war torn are. It is a noble cause, I can say. BUT WHAT ABOUT OUR OWN? We need to take care of our own before so eagerly handing out millions that could benefit Americans that seriously need it. Granted, some Americans do not deserve help, but I would rather they were at least on their feet and had a second chance, as they should, rather than help some random foreigner. Maybe I am just cold hearted.

Trust the police... after all, they are here to serve and protect. Now, understand, I really support police officers. BUT, there are becoming far too many DIRTY cops, sullying the name of the good ones. This makes for a general "mistrust of authority." Sadly, videos like these become more and more common, and it makes me wonder a few things, mainly: Are police officers becoming more aggressive due to lack of standards in training and more aggressive population, or is it that technology is is getting better and these videos are just more easily found? So here I am again, ranting and raving about the state of America's economy, and the effect it has globally. It is really funny honestly, I was watching an episode of King of the Hill, Season 5. (Circa 2001-2002) Peggy, one of the main characters, is in working real estate. Her son's friend asks her how selling houses is helping anyone. Peggy explains by saying, "Selling houses runs the economy. If people stop buying house, the whole world will fail financially." How funny that a cartoon is able to get it right, and predict, unintentionally, the financial downfall of the world.

So anyways, it is hard to argue with numbers. Huge numbers, such as the numbers this depression has been producing for us, are unimaginable, but happening now. President Obama was stating that the economy is now about to start climbing up. Pretty optimistic considering...

Massachusetts- April tax revenue came in $953 million, or 35%, less than a year ago. Officials had anticipated that revenue would fall, but it came in $456 million below their most recent estimate, made on April 15. The bulk of the shortfall came from a $905 million drop in income taxes.

Ohio- saw income tax revenue come in 22% below projections. Through April, income tax receipts are $397 million below the current estimate for fiscal 2009. It's the worst drop in the state's history. This means the state is facing a budget shortfall that could exceed $900 million.

Michigan- The State general fund revenues are projected to decline 21% from fiscal 2008, by far the largest one-year decline in at least 50 years. New estimates will be released mid-month. "The Michigan government can no longer afford to be all things to all people," Granholm said. "We expect to have to make more cuts like these in the future, which are the very type of wrenching cuts we have worked so hard to avoid in the past." (Granholm is the governor's adviser)

There is more and more. In Alabama, some counties are giving teachers an "I.O.U" on their paychecks. I wonder how long that will last when the government of Alabama says "Oh, we can't pay you, the economic situation didn't just go away like we planned."

Save while you can...It's about to get REALLY bad. And when things get really bad, the government gets rash and harsh. Be warned.

So...I had JUST finished my last blog, and before closing Firefox, which I should have just done, I found this article that just PISSED me off.

As the title implies...What recession? We have plenty of taxpayer dollars to spend! I hope this makes you as mad as it made me.

So the White House decided that they needed "Updated File Photographs of Air Force One." So they take a plane that would represent Air Force 1, fly 2 F-16 Fighting Falcon escort Jets following it, and fly it right OVER downtown New York City.So, people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and/or flashbacks of that terrible day, 9/11, were reminded of the attack. Strangely enough, this mission was TOP SECRET CLASSIFIED, meaning, no one had any idea what was happening. All they see is a 747 passenger jet being followed by 2 American fighter jets, amazingly low to the city scape, doing a normally highly illegal LOW FLY for pictures to be taken of it. Mild panic ensued, followed by buildings completely evacuating all employees. The streets were crowded and jammed with panicked citizens, scrambling for safety. 911 calls flooded and jammed the phone lines, as people were desperate to know what was happening.

As cruel as it is for the government to not tell survivor victims of the flyby and causing panic, all that that is just a minor inconvenience though, compared to the REAL problem. The real problem is that the government used $325,835.00 of tax payers money to stage these pictures. Pictures?

Pictures for government files need to be fancy and done up, with backgrounds to set the theme? Interesting? However, when asked why they created a NEW mission for this pictures and used $300,000.00 of tax payers money for a photo shoot of a plane, they said "the hours would have been flown regardless, and the expenses would have been accrued on a different mission." Exactly what he says... A DIFFERENT MISSION... that means one that was not planned, may have been important to national security, and would have $300,000.00 that is spent, available.

So what do $300,000.00 pictures of Air Force One look like over N.Y.C? Well... The White House press office now says there are no plans to make the photographs public, arguing "there is nothing wrong with the previous photos so we are going to use them."

So they admit that the low fly and $300,000.00 of your tax payer money was wasted...the pictures won't ever be seen even! Now this seems like a cover-up, or even a conspiracy, if you really look into it. I guess that is what you get for asking to see the results of a TOP SECRET MISSION.

Yet... the government DID tell people about this photo shoot. The day of, the F.A.A and local E.M.A. and Local Law Enforcement Agencies were all aware of this low fly, but under STRICT instructions to not inform the public.

Apparently it is fun to watch people panic in fear. As for the photos still,

"These are public records because they were done on government time, with government resources, and government personnel," said Patrice McDermott of openthegovernment.org.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Tuesday that he would take another look at releasing the photos. As of Wednesday, nothing had happened.

Swine Flu

A little melodramatic, don't ya think?

Swine flu...It is still upon us. Apparently, with the WHO (World Health Organization) declaring it a level 5 emergency, out of 6, it's very bad. I have yet to see bodies being burned in the streets, stringent eradication campaigns on rodents and small mammals, mass killing of insects, curfews in effect, masks handed out in mass by the government, schools shut down, public transportation shut down, marshal law, reactionary military deployment, or even emergency water treatment. This is all stuff I figured came with a stage 5 emergency, leaving stage 6 for zombies or whatever. (So i may be exaggerating a bit with the zombies, and the mass burnings, etc etc, but that is how the media plays it up as.) A real level 5 means, person to person contact, at least 2 countries away. Exaggerating is entertaining.

Point is, all of this hype and media speculation is a campaign prodded by the world governments to divert, no, distract attention from the real problems of the failing global economy. The failing education systems, the rising crime rate, rising unemployment, poverty, homelessness, and disgruntled veterans running needing help...all of these have received FAR less media attention compared to the weeks and months before the Swine Flu (N1H1) outbreak. The less people focus on these problems, the more the government can "Hope the situation fixes itself."

So, with a few thousand people infected, media reports claiming up to 120,000,000 people could die from this at the beginning of the outbreak, and expanse coverage, a state of panic flows through the masses. Countries are needlessly slaughtering swine for fear of the disease, even ones that tested clean. The CDC and WHO both state you cannot get N1H1 from eating properly cooked food, even from a contaminated animal. Did we forget about starving people? China killed and burned over 300,000 livestock out of fear alone. That is a good bit of food, if you ask me.

Another interesting outlook is profiteering from it. The media receives more viewers, in turn drawing more sponsors, in turn generating revenue. Drug companies receive grants for research for a cure. The company that finds the cure will get, well, a good chunk of grant money as a reward, relatively so equaling profit. More people will prey on the more stupid of the scared crowds, selling "swine flu survival kits." The possibilities go on and on. Read more here.

Until this becomes serious, FOCUS on the real issues, and do not buy into the media hype. Follow the FDC's, WHO's, and CDC's suggestions and guidelines to stay safe.

To put things in perspective, N1H1 has killed 152 people. 1600 are suspected infected, 913 are confirmed. Influenza, the standard strain of "the flu", kills 30,000-40,000 people globally every year. Where is the LEVEL 5 Emergency Declaration from WHO of the CDC? Interesting.....

To be fair, the WHO has scaled back the emergency to a Level 3, but they DID declare it a level 5 for a few days...

Matthew Stafford, NOT A HERO

First off, we as Americans, are lost when it comes to sports. I used to love sports. In fact, I still do. I love high school sports, because the kids have heart. They are playing for the game, and, well, some, for what college they will be attending. College sports are great too, to an extent. I do not understand why, we as Americans, allow someone to be so popular, so ludicrously rich, so insanely set for life, for the simple ability to throw a football. Exactly what has Matthew Stafford done for America? I found lots of pictures and articles about him, but nothing too important. I found impressive stats, and fan sites galore. But to me, that was it. The ability to throw a ball and catch it, or in his case, be the best, so first pick, of all college level players, is not worth $41.7 million dollars. What pisses me off even more is that fans still pay sky rocketing ticket sales, embrace this ridiculous contracts, and drive these young players to super stardom overnight. And I REALLY love this picture. They put him in front of the NFL stars and stripes, like he is an American Hero. Had this boy actually done something truely amazing, the stars and stripes would be acceptable.

WAKE UP HE PLAYS FUCKING FOOTBALL AND THAT IS IT! I hate to say it, but it is starting to drive me mad that we let War HEROES, War Veterans, Wounded Warriors, to start with, go homeless, go without care, get left behind, or forced into life with very limited choices for a "future?" Yet we spend money on season tickets for the best seats we can, or drive to the racetrack, etc etc... instead of donating money to proven organizations, like Wounded Warrior Project. Hell, look hard enough, you can find a veteran in need nearby. One small favor can open many doors for a young person that may have been betrayed by their government.
These are really small examples. And I have started to rant. So I end with one more thought...
If any body is a hero in my eyes, that played football, wrestled, and is, well the example of an all American hero, it would be Lt. Noah Harris. (Google or Yahoo him, you will find a lot of information.) Just a good ol' southern boy, killed 18 June 2009 in Boquba, Iraq. Respect the real heroes, not some overpaid kid that is good at one sport and that is it. Sports are entertaining, but not of true REAL LIFE importance. If you do not want to help a veteran, look into homeless shelters, battered wife shelters. There are far better ways to spend money than spending it on inflated ticket prices so some jack ass like Matthew Stafford can be treated like a hero.

Withdrawal from Iraq

Apparently, now that the country is making 10's of billions of dollars in oil PROFITS, they do not need us anymore. They should be paying for the programs currently running in Iraq, with such a high profit. So here's my opinion, and not enough people check, but I hope some of you vote. Iraq is calling for an near immediate withdrawal of foreign troops. Whether its this June, or at the latest, in 2010, the Iraqi people have made it clear they wish for our withdrawal. I feel that as soon as we leave, the Iraqi military will eventually have a coup and take over the country again. That's how its worked for hundreds to thousands of years over there. The people that have the POWER are in control, and will TAKE control. That' how it has worked for so long before we even started messing with them back in the Iraq/Iran contra affair.

Apparently, the Republican party feels that President Barrack Obama, is not doing enough for the general safety of American citizens. I am honestly still too heated about being called a terrorist because of my military service to really notice if I feel any safer or not. And then it hit me. I did not FEEL any safer, nor did I FEEL any worse off. It is all relative. Heck, read enough posts on this page and you may feel doom and gloom by association. I, personally, do not feel any more safe than I did before Obama. More off, I guess if I had to pick a side, I would say I feel less safe.

I feel this video is more of a smear campaign, but it DOES make some great points.
So back to safety. Do i feel more safe the past 100 days? Well, reminded again that Barrack Obama called all OIF and OEF veterans Terrorists. How smart is it to piss off the men that fought for you that are now angry, tired, disgruntled, trained, armed, poor, and unemployed. I know that now that I wrote and read that, I feel less safe already.

Regions Bank, Making Money off of the Dumb Guys

So...This one is short and simple. Click on the image to enlarge it if you are interested in seeing a Major Bank screwing over a Veteran and his Wife financially. The RED Circle, (top one), is for a PENDING transaction, that was canceled by the company that made it. Pending, as in, Not processed yet. After being canceled, there was nothing left to be pending.

The Black circle on the bottom shows my balance, with the top transaction being $105 dollars in overdraft fees....but overdraft from what.. there is nothing to be over drafted, each individual over-drafted transaction penalty fee is only $35, maybe $40 now. The account is still positive, not in the hole at all. This image was taken on the second day this pending transaction was waiting, leaving me with no money. The company had made a mistake, and quickly and promptly fixed it, CANCELING the pending transaction completely, leaving NOTHING owed to them. Cable One even went as far to give me $124.00 credit on my account for the mistake.
Now, pending transaction out of the way, the registar showed $105.00 in overdraft fees, still reading at a Positive $1.40 something. I was being charged overdraft fees for money that had not even come out. Scam!

Regions, and other Untrustworthy Banks, are removing money from your account that is pending, then hitting you with overdraft fees to make extra money for themselves to recoup losses. What if I had put in CASH, which is available immediatly, that should offset make it so nothing would have overdraft to begin with. They have found a way to rob you without a gun, without even meeting you face to face.

This has happened to me before, and slowly I have been gathering screenshots of Region's blatant disregard for my money. Worst of all, I went to the Local Regions Bank and talked to the Bank Officer about my accocunt. She stood her ground, swearing it was okay to withdraw money that hasn't cleared a pending procedure, but its okay to HOLD money that is deposited, not crediting that money until overdrafting has begun.

Only after we called the 1-800 number for Regions, did we get the overdrafts removed. Again, this is very common at this Regions Bank in Jacksonville, Alabama (36265)

CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS CAREFULLY, the last time, I was not able to recieve compensation, and we had $280 in overdraft fees, even though I had deposited CASH that morning, used the card over Saturday and Sunday, and that cash was HELD from Friday morning, to Tuesday morning, before clearing, allowing that $280 in overdraft fees.

Now if you do not catch this, or let them confuse you with their bank mumbo jumbo big words, then you are just one of the dumb guys Regions Bank is making money off of.

I hate STUPID internet advertising!!!

So what the hell is with these internet adds recently? They have stopped making sense... I took a screen shot of this one, and it is a .GIF image. It has 3 or 4 frames of the girl doing sit-ups, making an animation. The add is for, as you can see, AUTO INSURANCE... I have seen the same "Animated .GIF" in several other adds, ranging from Houses for rent, to House loan quotes.

Sadly, the internet is "Advertised Based". Mostly everything is funded through advertising on sites that generate traffic. Advertisements are a necessary evil to enjoy our sites for free. Come on, though. Really. If I am going to HAVE to see advertisements when I do nearly anything on the internet, can they at least make sense? I know that a company that puts out ads like that obviously will not take the time to be a good company for me to be a customer of.

CHILDREN, that feel they the right to free speech is a right, not a privilege. These are stupid children being stupid children... I wonder how many of these uneducated morons are on the terrorist watch list? So, you got a little bit of money on your tax return? Did that extra stimulus money help you out? Do not get excited. Apparently, the IRS has a little surprise instore for you next tax season. Retirees, disabled veterans, people drawing disability pension, all recieved extra money as "pension" to assist in these dire economic times. Surprising enough, accourding to a loophole, the way the IRS withholding calculator calculates, nearly all of you will pay that "stimulus" check back in its entirety, next tax season. Of course, the IRS is not telling people about this as readily as they should.
Republican Dave Camp, of Michigan, has been attempting to get answers since this debacle has started. Dave Camp is the top Republican on the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee. Apparently, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, has yet to respond to concerns raised by committee members.

"So far we've got the, 'If we don't address this maybe it will go away' approach," Camp said.

Seems to be the approach to everything the government has been dealing with. From the failing education system to the toxic global economy... After all, the politicians can AFFORD to sit back and wait for things to get better. Of course, it's coming out of OUR pockets.

Swine Flu

Swine flu in N.Y.C.

Seems to be a big deal, but these "epidemics" happen all the time. The Swine Flu Epidemic of 1976 has received little attention lately as this new strain steals all the attention. Until hundreds are dead or infected across the country, I feel this "epidemic" is little more than a scapegoat for the economy. The more we talk about swine flu, and other exciting new issues, the less we think of the failing economy, failing job market, and failing government. Great ploy. Take heed, and follow government warnings from the FDA and CDC about swine flu, but DO NOT miss the bigger picture of homelessness/joblessness/failing economy.

I am still looking for a job myself. Nobody wants a 28 year old wounded veteran when there are hundreds of eager 18-25 year olds looking for the same jobs that have no physical/psychological issues. I also noticed, most of the men I served with are in the same position.

North Korea, the little country that couldnt.

First off, I want to make it clear that I DO NOT support North Korea is not my ally. I served in South Korea, stationed at Camp Casey and Camp Grieves, on the DMZ, so I have a better understanding than the average blogger about the area, situation, armies...though I cannot lie, my on ground, in area, tactical data and knowledge is outdated to an extent, about 6 years old now. Nonetheless, I feel I have a right to be complaining, as per usual.

According to CNN, the North Koreans are threatening the world with more missile tests if the world does not stop condemning it's most recent test. Furthermore, they are threatening to start testing Nuclear Explosions. This would be a huge step in N.K.'s nuclear arms program.

Now this is where I start to complain. As much as I hate to say it, I feel that the U.N. is kind of starting to piss me off. Granted, I hate the thought of Nuclear War, (and find it extremely fascinating) but where was the U.N. when America, Russia, and other countries were testing nuclear weapons? How can we decide that N.K. does not deserve the right to have equal tactical defenses. I mean, we fight wars with "rules" such as the guidelines set by the Geneva Convention. How are we telling a whole country, that they cannot build weapons of equal strength of their enemies?

Think of it this way... If you are playing a tactical war game on the computer, and the enemy player spends a lot of time researching nuclear weapons. Now that your army is catching up, you know you need the same kind of technology, or fear being wiped out/bullied around too easily. Yet, the game you are playing, WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO RESEARCH because the program is written to not allow you to research.

War is not fair. Hell, war is definitely not a game. I still don't blame North Korea for their actions in trying to "balance the battlefield".

Respect of Americans vs. Foreigners

Have you ever noticed that everyone has something to complain about. I mean, look at me, I am complaining about people complaining all the time, and yet, on this blog, that no one but myself reads, I sit here and complain about America, the world, and well, everything. I was watching South Park online and it was the episode of Cartoon Wars 1 when I found a great example of Americans being more concerned for foreigners, that live THOUSANDS of miles away, on other continents, across the planet, than concern for Americans. It absolutely bothers me that this one episode has made me question what "Free Speech" America has.

Example: When the creators of the Family Guy announce that they will show the image of the prophet, Mohammed, on new episode, the network threatens to ban the episode. One of thcomedy needs to have boundaries. The MAIN boundary is that either EVERYTHING is game to be made fun of. It's either everything is a target, or nothing should be made fun of. We can't pick and choose what is proper funny and what isnt proper funny. Everything, or nothing. That, in essence, is protecting FREEDOM OF SPEECH. The first Amendment. The minute we give into someone else's demands becuase they have no sense of humor, thats when all is lost. Yet, I will point out how the staff of South Park, Comedy Central, and the FCA, have stepped all over the first amendment, while acting like the are promoting, defending it.

So in episode two, Cartoon Wars 2, they "attempt" to show Mohammed to defy the terrorists. When the part with Mohammed shown is played, a black screen blanks out the whole screen, with a message, stating, "In this shot, Mohammed hands a football helmet to family guy." Followed by another screen, stating, "Comedy Central has refused to broadcast an image of Mohammed on their network." That right there, is showing that Commedy Central and the creators of South Park, after preaching about All humor is fair targets, or no humor is. Yet, they still go on to censor Mohammed becuase of fear of backlash from the muslim nation. Yet, 2 or 3 minutes later, they go on to show Jesus pooping on American citizen's. I personally do not care too much, yet I find it funny to take the Lord and Savior of 70% of the American's religion, is a target for joking. So, we can make fun of our own people, that live among us, without care about their feelings, correct? And for foreign people, we care about them, and dont want to hurt their feelings? My question is, if they hate it so much, why are you watching American programing? Censorship, in my opinion, by not making fun of muslims, but still making fun of christians and catholics, while preaching equal rights when it comes to topics and joking.

Now I understand that the censorship could even be a joke, joking about how Americans freak about terrorist threats. I personally, would have found it funny, had they not mocked a majority of Americans in a worse, more blatant way. After all, all Mohammed did was hand Peter of family guy, a helmet. Jesus is SHITTING on people. And this is ok? As long as we are the same...Nationality, everything is game to make fun of?

Maybe I just hate everything too much.

America..Land of the free, because of the...terrorists?

So this is a new one... "America, land of the free because of the terrorists." Originally, this quote is supposed to read, "America, land of the free, because of the Brave." However, thanks to the Obama legislation and Department of Homeland Security coordinator, Janet Naplitano, every single U.S. soldier that served in Iraq is now on the D.H.S. Terrorist Watch list. Up until the recent bailout, and excessive amounts of money we are borrowing, I have had very little to complain about about Barack Obama.
As it stands, there are no longer war heroes that risked life and limb for America, there are only "terrorists" that served the United States of American military, fighting terrorists overseas for the common good of the American people. Soldiers and Marines that have seen more than enough war in their times, already deployed 3 times at 20 years old, to return to be "watched" by big brother as a thank you for their services.
I personally take offense to this remark. I served in the Army Infantry to fight foreign enemies of the United States of America. Now I am a terrorist? I know veterans that were in the Vietnam war, WWII, Korea, and Panama. I know sailors that have helped Nasa with missions at sea, to return to be "watched." I have always felt that these people may have some issues of their own, but now, literally, we are being watched. As if the injuries sustained in combat were not enough, now I have to feel like a bad guy in my own country... this is NOT the America I grew up in, and definitly not the America I served when I was deployed to combat...

Also, just to finish up... wasn't Bill Ayers, the man who Obama had a casual friendship with in his college years, arrested with his associates that killed innocent Americans with anti war actions? Funny how he, Bill Ayers, is not a terrorist. Funy that he was so anti-war back in the day... and its even more funny that he is not a veteran and has never served his country, yet he is not a terrorist. I am though. Fun times.

Alabama Senate Bill 337

Alabama Senate Bill 337... what a joke if you ask me. I am sure nobody asked, but I am answering. The SB 337 is the AT&T deregulation Bill, essentially banning voice over Internet protocol (VOIP, or telephone services like skype, vonage, cable companies.) telecommunications in parts of Alabama. AT&T feel its not fair to be undercut so much, considering they cannot keep up with the current prices offered by these VOIP companies. The MAIN issue is, the VOIP companies use the major companies own internet connections to run the VOIP. Bandwidth is used, and the major companies want to get money for the information they are transferring, being free for the consumer using VOIP. However, the VOIP companies, GOOGLE, YAHOO, etc etc, all pay for the bandwidth they use monthly. Banning the VOIP in Alabama essentially makes it so citizens would have far less choices in phone service, which many smaller towns, cities, rural areas and farms rely on heavily, at the same shitty high prices they all offer. I am sorry, but if you charge $30.00 or more a month for service, and someone offers much better service for $60.00 for a year, why would anyone choose overpriced services? Supporters of the bill argue that adequate competition exists, these being the handful of major companies, all offering nearly the same, extremely over inflated prices. Further more, these companies are soooo greedy that they are even increasing the total cost monthly to the senior citizens "life connection" phone line, a greatly reduced service for elderly people to make sure they have phone access in case of an emergency.
Here is how I feel. First off, this is absolutely terrible. When has it been alright for the Government to tell me which phone service, or any "luxury service" (cable, satellite TV, cellphone, internet, etc etc) for that matter, that i must use? If the government can tell me what company i HAVE to use, then what in the FUCK did i go to war for? I know i did not go to war to have someone in a failing industry convince the government with money tributes tell me how i need to spend my money. The phone companies are failing for a reason, and that's because they are not managed properly, outdated, and essentially, archaic technology. I learned the concept of business in high school, and it goes something like this:
If there is a demand, then the supply must be made. When the demand dwindles, and supply continues, then there is an issue.
Obviously, people are not using landlines as much as in the past. Sure, the phone company wants us to use them, considering i am sure 20 years ago, hell, 10 years ago, they felt pretty secure in there business, not knowing that VOIP would be a much better technology and service. So, instead of banning businesses that are doing good work, advertising properly, and essentially, not FAILING, we should support them, not support a failing, old, expensive business like they want us too. Besides, if the VOIP companies can make great profit charging 80-90% less than the phone companies are, how much do these major phone companies make with those inflated prices?
The government is creating a monopoly of phone companies, surely receiving support or aid, one way or another in supporting this crappy, unAmerican, bill.

Random thought. Has anyone ever wondered about the payback policy on all the money getting "loaned" out our country? I know that most places wont even think twice about loaning me $300, and that even goes for my own parents. Yet, a country that is completely in debt, in a recession, no, a depression, 2 different war fronts to finance and prepare. Our imaginary money market, Stock Market, is helping destroy the international money markets. First question is, why would anyone lend us this money. To me, America looks like an 18 year old with too much debt. However, this 18 year old is about to be a big movie star, so credit companies lend out line after line of credit, because a movie star can pay them back in the future. What happens now? The movie star got caught in a scandal, and now there is no hope for that job or the big money, and lots of debt. No collection agency is going to accept "I did not get the job with the big money." Instead, they will hurt the credit score, and threaten legal actions, etc etc. Now what if the collection agency is a country with millions of poor, desperate armed people? People that say, "You cant pay us back? We will just take it." That leads to bad news. Think of it. America is attractive place. Lots of land, lots of places to grow food and crops, great location. 2 coasts for shipping and food. Point is, if we are not careful, and not able to pay up, we may be headed for worse times. Trade embargoes against the U.S., for example, could be a start to force us to repay. Shipping from the angry countries could cease, along with trade talks. Open war is always an option. Complete breakdown of "alliances" as the population increases, food and land decrease, and money is scarce. Recipe for DISASTER.
